Introduction of Dalian

Dalian is a major seaport in the south of Liaoning Province. As the province's second largest city, it is a home to over 6.5 million people. It is known as China's gateway for Japanese and Korean business and tourism. Dalian the southernmost city of the Liaodong Peninsula. The Shandong Peninsula lies southwest across the Bohai Strait and Korea lies across the Yellow Sea to the east. In 2001, Dalian was awarded by United Nations for its outstanding contributions to the protection of environment. In 2006, it was named “China's most livable city” by China Daily.
